Three firefighters suffer injuries trying to bring blaze under control
A blaze in the city’s downtown on Saturday afternoon ripped through two homes.
The Standard reporting it took over 40 firefighters from several stations, including volunteer firefighters, to battle the blaze that broke out in a home on Morrison near St Clair.
The winds spread the flames to a neighbouring home.
Three firefighters were injured and taken to hospital for minor burns.
One home was completely destroyed and the other sustained considerable damage.
The cause remains under investigation.
