No setting off fireworks on public property
Welland officials reminding residents fireworks can not be set off in parks, or open fields or spaces within city limits
Officials also note that fireworks are only allowed on Victoria and Canada Day as well as the three days preceding both holidays.
Anyone who gets caught violating the bylaw could face a fine up to $5,000.
Residents can report fireworks violations while they are happening by calling 911 and asking for the Fire Department to respond.
