Mayor Bill Steele says he met with police, fire, city hall staff on how to handle weekend problems
Significant security problems last weekend at Sherkston Shores in Port Colborne has resulted in action being taken at city hall.
Mayor Bill Steele says he's deeply concerned about possible armed individuals, sexual assaults, fights, drugs and more.
He met today with Niagara regional police, Port Colborne fire department, by-law, and senior city staff to discuss ways to stop this behaviour.
From this meeting, he plans to meet with Sherkston Shores management to communicate critical changes are needed immediately.
The mayor also plans to use by-law to its fullest extent, but also re-assemble today's group with the resort to express concerns and disappointment of recent events.
