The Canadians beat the Americans 3-2 in overtime.
BOSTON - It was a win to remember for Canadian hockey fans.
Team Canada celebrated a 3-2 victory over the United States in Boston last night, winning the 4-Nations Face-Off. Connor McDavid scored the game winning goal in overtime. Canadian goalie Jordan Binnington made 25 saves in regulation, plus six more in overtime.
McDavid was named the Player of the Game and fellow Canadian Nathan MacKinnon has been named tournament MVP.
There has been political tensions between Canada and the United Stated recently, due to President Donald Trump's tariff threats and his comments about making Canada the 51st state.
Following last night's win, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau posted on his X page "You can’t take our country - and you can’t take our game."
