Some residents of Welland will be without water for hours tonight.
Niagara Region will be working to repair a water main on Prince Charles Drive between Lincoln Street south to Amelia Lane.
Between 6:00 p.m. and midnight tonight, properties in that area as well as Nova Crescent can expect to go without water.
The work is being done to complete repairs after the water main failure that occurred last week.
Nearby residents are advised to have a portable water container filled with drinking water.
You're also asked to fill containers such as buckets with water for washing and flushing toilets.
All taps will need to be closed or turned off in order to prevent flooding when the water is turned back on.
After the shutdown, turn on cold water taps and let it run for five minutes.
