Police suspect driver suffered a medical issue before ramming into store
Two people have been sent to hospital after a vehicle crashed into a St. Catharines store.
Early this afternoon, police were called to the Walmart location on Welland Avenue near Bunting Road.
The driver and passenger were taken to an out of region hospital with injuries that are serious but non life threatening.
Police tell us the Saturn SUV involved is believed to be totaled.
There was significant damage done to one of the walls, but a damage estimate hasn't been provided.
Police are still investigating the cause, but they suspect the driver might have suffered a medical issue behind the wheel.
