Tories will unveil budget after outlining their plans in throne speech
The Progressive Conservatives are set to re-table their 2022 budget today, nearly three months after it was presented to Ontarians.
A rare summer session of the legislature kicks off today with the throne speech at 1p.m. follow by the budget that is expected to remain largely the same as the one presented in April but include a 5 per cent hike to disability payments.
Ontario’s opposition parties have called for a new budget to be drawn up that better addresses other health-care challenges, including staff shortages.
