A 37-year-old man from St. Catharines is now facing fraud charges, after he tried to buy a luxury vehicle.
Police say the man was pretending to be someone else and was using forged identity documents.
The vehicle was valued at $107,000.
The man has been charged with identity fraud, identity theft, possession of identity documents and fraud over $5,000.
The NRP says this is a recurring problem throughout the province and dealerships should always conduct thorough background checks.
