The City of St. Catharines has introduced a new program to help seniors who are feeling isolated as the pandemic continues.
Staring in June, the program will provide 2,700 free take-away bags over the next six months for local seniors, with themes such as gardening, home safety and fitness.
The bags will be distributed in partnership with Meals on Wheels, the St. Catharines Public Library, Niagara Region Senior Services and Community Support Services of Niagara.
Bags can also be picked at drive-thru events on June 10th, 17th and 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Older Adult Centre on Dunlop Drive.
