Hot Summer Nights event returning for second year
St. Catharines Fire Services is bringing back the Hot Summer Nights event, starting tonight.
On Wednesday nights this summer, fire trucks and fire prevention staff will visit various parks from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., transforming trucks into giant sprinklers.
Attendees will also get to tour the trucks and learn about fire safety.
"Hot Summer Nights is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, learn about fire safety, and enjoy some summer fun," said Fire Chief Dave Upper. "We are excited to connect with residents again this year and share important fire prevention knowledge while providing a fun way to cool off."
Events will take place at the following locations:
- July 5: Community Park Merritton
- July 12: Walkinshaw Park
- July 19: Bermuda Park
- July 26: St. Patrick’s Park / Catherine Street Park
- Aug. 2: Guy Road Park
