The search continues for a missing 19-year-old man who fell into the Niagara River.
Police say he went hiking with four of his friends in the Niagara Glen, close to the Niagara River Parkway area last night, when they stopped to take pictures on a rock.
That’s when he fell into the fast-flowing water and foul play is not suspected.
Emergency teams from both sides of the border searched the area last night.
The NRP’s Marine Unit will search the water today and Niagara Park Police will conduct aerial searches with Niagara Helicopters.
The man’s identity has not been released, but he does live in St. Catharines.
Anyone with information should contact the NRP by calling 905-688-4111 with extension 2200.
