Changes to Canada's assisted dying rules received royal assent last night
Justice Minister David Lametti declaring ``For Canadians who are suffering intolerably, their wait is now over.''
Intolerably suffering people who are not near the natural end of their lives now have the right to seek medical assistance in dying.
And in another two years, that will also include people suffering solely from grievous and incurable mental illnesses.
