Murder suspect in custody, NRP looking for another wanted man
Police have arrested a man for murder in St. Catharines.
On Friday afternoon they were called to the area of Division and Riordon Streets for reports of gunshots.
When they arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds.
Both were taken to hospital where one was pronounced dead and the other is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
After several hours of negotiation at a home on Churchill Street a 47-year-old was arrested yesterday.
He faces charges of second-degree murder and attempted murder.
Police are also looking for 2nd suspect wanted in this case, who is in the picture supplied by police.
He's white, about 35-40 years old, with a thin build. He has brown, wavy hair and scruffy goatee.
Police add he's wearing a dark, hooded bomber (waist length) style jacket, along with dark jeans and dark running shoes.
Police have reason to believe this was a targeted shooting.
