ETFO rejects binding arbitration deal reached between the province and the OSSTF
Elementary teachers in Ontario could be hitting picket lines in the fall.
The union has said it's not interested in the deal that the union representing English-speaking high school teachers have agreed to.
Under that contract, negotiations will continue until October 27th, at which point any unresolved issues will go to binding arbitration.
However, the ETFO says it wants to apply for conciliation, where a third party would be brought in.
The union adds it plans to hold a strike vote later this year.
