Police chief says there weren't any between November 16th and December 13th
A sprinkle of relatively good news from Niagara Regional Police when it comes to murder stats.
Chief Bryan MacCulloch says from November 16th to December 13th, there were none.
However, there were eight murders and seven attempts for 2022.
"And comparatively in 2021, we had six homicides and three attempts" MacCulloch notes. "In 2020, we had five and three."
He adds in 2019, there were seven homicides, and two attempted murders.
