They say it's in connection to investigation back to December
More suspects have been arrested in connection to human trafficking in Niagara.
Back in December, police began looking into a certain case of someone over the age of 18 being trafficked.
As a result, two men were identified, and police arrested them today.
Police say 47-year old Wasim Ahmed of Maple, and 61-year old Mohammad Arshad Ghummian of Mississauga face charges:
- Trafficking in persons by recruiting
- Procuring
- Sexual assault
- Forcible confinement
- Uttering threats
They were held pending a bail hearing today in St. Catharines.
Police believe there may be more victims.
