UPDATE (July 25, 2:31 p.m.): The severe thunderstorm warning has ended for the region.
A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Niagara.
Environment Canada says it's tracking a storm capable of producing pea to dime sized hail and heavy rain.
As of 12:24 p.m., is located near Fonthill, moving at about 20 km/h.
Some parts of the region could get between 50 and 75 mm of rainfall.
Impacted areas include Niagara Falls, Fonthill, Thorold and Short Hills Provincial Park.
There could be flash floods and heavy water pooling on roads.
You're advised to take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
Conditions are expected to improve this evening.
