It's for 5-years, with yearly pay increases of 3%
Some good news for workers at Niagara transit, they have a new contract lasting 5 years.
Niagara Transit Commission calls it a historic achievement, with the union representing 376 employees.
The deal is from last January 1st, retroactive to time passed, lasting to December 31, 2027, and brings together three other contracts, from before the recent amalgamation of Niagara transit.
Workers will receive pay increases of 3-percent a year, with all labour costs coming under Regional council's latest budget.
