Fifty-seven local residents hospitalized with COVID-19.
Niagara Region Public Health confirming 54 new COVID-19 cases today.
There are 57 Niagara Health patients with the virus, including 38 being treated primarily for COVID-19.
As well, eight patients, including six that are unvaccinated, are in the ICU.
Niagara Health says three of its patients have died from the virus this week, on February 18th, 19th, and 21st.
Throughout Niagara, there are 1,454 active cases and eight active outbreaks.
More than 1,012,000 vaccinations have been administered throughout the region.
About 87.2 percent of residents have one shot, 83.6 percent have two, and 49.8 percent have three.
