Two people now allowed at one time
Starting today Niagara Health is expanding its visitor guidelines.
Two visitors are now allowed at the bedside at one time for inpatient units, including Labour and Delivery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
There is no change for outpatient, Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centres where patients can continue to bring one person to support them.
All infection prevention and control protocols remain in place while inside the hospital, thos include wearing a mask at all times, complete covid-19 screening before entering, not eating or drinking inside patient rooms and physical distancing whereever possible.
Niagara Health strongly recommends full vaccination against COVID-19, however proof of vaccination is no longer required.
You can find all visitor information on the NHS website.
