Change in fare prices possible
Niagara's consolidated transit system has been launched.
Niagara Region Transit is the result of all of the municipalities combining their transit systems into one operator.
This includes the existing Niagara Region Transit, Niagara Falls Transit, St. Catharines Transit, Welland Transit and Fort Erie Transit systems.
The Niagara Region says there won't be any changes to bus routes, schedules, OnDemand or specialized services.
However, there could be a change in fare prices and technology.
Officials say having one consolidated system for the region will give residents better access to jobs and services.
