Police say a woman was walking late at night
Police are looking for a man after a woman reported she was sexually assaulted during a walk in Welland.
They were called around 2 this morning, and met a woman who said she went for a walk around midnight in the Woodlawn Road and Clare Avenue area.
She asked an unknown man a question, he then assaulted her and tried to pull her into a wooded area.
Police say she got her phone out, the suspect then stopped the assault, and she escaped.
The suspect is:
- Male
- Middle Eastern descent
- Speaking with a heavy Middle Eastern accent
- Approximately 21 years of age
- Heavy build (200lb)
- 5’4” to 5’5” tall
- Dark brown hair
- Full black beard
- Wearing a grey zip-up sweater with writing on the back and possibly black sweatpants
