The NRP began investigating the Toronto man last year, accused of using the internet to reach children
More charges have been laid against a Toronto man by Niagara regional police in relation to child luring and exploitation.
A year ago police began looking into a man they say used the internet to connect with children for sexual purposes.
Last month police charged 50-year old Joseph Michael Mortillaro with:
- Luring a Child via Telecommunication to Facilitate Sexual Interference (2 Counts)
- Harassing Communications
They add he went by the online names "DadofTwo" and "Mike", also "micjoseph".
Due to further investigation and searches, police added:
- Possession of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
- Making Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material Available
- Make Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material – Written
Police say he remains in jail, but has a bail hearing today in St. Catharines.
