General Manager Kyle Dubas will not return to the Toronto Maple Leafs next season
A big change for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Team President Brendan Shanahan says the team has parted ways with General Manager Kyle Dubas.
"I would like to thank Kyle for his unwavering dedication over these last nine seasons with the organization, including his last five as General Manager. Kyle fostered a great culture within our dressing room and staff, and consistently pushed to make our team better season over season. We wish Kyle and his family the best moving forward and thank him for his valuable contributions."
His contract was set to expire on June 30th.
Dubas spent nine seasons with the team and was named GM in 2018.
While the Leafs made the playoffs during each of his seasons as GM, this year is the only time the team won a series while he was in charge.
