Paul Bernardo is getting transferred from a maximum security prison to a medium security facility
Serial killer Paul Bernardo has been moved from a maximum security prison to a medium-security one.
Bernardo spent the last decade at Millhaven Institute near Kingston, but he's being moved to an institution in Quebec.
Lawyer Timothy Danson, who represents the families of Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy, say Corrections Canada told him about the move last week.
Bernardo was sentenced to life in prison for murdering the two teenagers in the early 1990s.
There is no word on the reason for the change.
