Organizers say this is against what they say are more cuts by Ford government
It appears momentum is building against the provincial government, as organizers of another rally at the Pen Centre tomorrow are anticipating roughly 500 people.
Helen Hamilton is with Hope for Our Hospital, and says they started advocating in March, and spoke to the Niagara region.
She accuses the Ford government of cutting health care. "When you start looking around, and you see not only health care... it's education, now he's after our water, he's forcing us into amalgamation with our city councillors and mayors."
She says protests are happening province-wide tomorrow.
We asked her about school construction, also hospitals and medical school investment. "I don't believe he's investing in health care, more people are without doctors than ever before. As long as he's been in, every year it gets worse. We're going to go from 9 hospitals in Niagara, to 2. Welland is going to turn into an urgent care."
The province recently announced millions for work on 3 schools in Niagara.
