Functional Programming Requirements for New West Lincoln Memorial Hospital

We now know more about the new West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby.

Health Minister Christine Elliot sent a letter to Hamilton Health Sciences, detailing all of the functional programming requirements for the new hospital in Grimsby.

The list includes the following;

- 4 surgical suites

- 56 inpatient beds

- 8 nursery bassinets

- 5 labour birthing and recovery suites

- Acute Inpatient Services

- Emergency Department

- Ambulatory Services

- Complex Continuing Care

- Maternal and Newborn Services

- Day Surgical Services

- Endoscopy

Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says the new hospital will be 30-percent larger than the existing one.
