Fire fighters called yesterday afternoon, to Ridgeway-Crystal Beach high
A fire at the former Ridgeway-Crystal Beach high school.
The Standard is reporting fire crews responded to call at around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, to find flames coming from the 3rd floor.
They quickly got the fire under control, but not before the ceiling of the 2nd floor had dropped.
There were no injuries.
The building has been empty since 2017, and in April of 2021, the District School Board of Niagara approved sale of the building, but to who has not been revealed.
There's no estimate of the damage from the fire, nor has a cause been determined.
