NRP and Fire Marshall investigating
Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Beaverdams Road and Baker Street in Thorold in regards to a fire call on Sunday.
Investigation revealed that the rear of a residence in this area was completely engulfed in flames.
The Thorold Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire.
An adult male was located suffering from life threatening injuries as a result of the fire. He was transported to a local hospital where he was tragically pronounced deceased.
NRP have taken carriage of the investigation and are working with the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office and the office of the Coroner.
