Canadians can expect to see increased health and safety measures when they cast their votes on September 20th.
Chief Electoral Officer Stephane Perreault is reassuring Canadians that it's safe to head to the ballot box as the pandemic continues on.
Perreault says polling stations will follow the public health measures specific to each province.
In Ontario, this means mask-wearing, as well as physical barriers and socially distancing.
Perreault also notes there will be exceptions for people who can't wear masks for medical reasons.
You may also find yourself casting your ballot at a different polling station than usual due to the pandemic.
Elections Canada says about five million Canadians are expected to vote by mail this time around, and if there are more mail-in ballots than normal, election results could be delayed.
If you do plan to vote by mail, you're advised to cast your vote early.
