City of St. Catharines has deal with Axe Living for 30 unit building on Academy Street
Another apartment building to go up in St. Catharines.
The city's Municipal Development Corporation has reached a deal with Axe Living to build a 30-unit building on city surplus land at 8 Academy Street.
The city says the building will use eco-friendly, energy efficient construction systems, significantly reducing construction time, when compared to traditional building methods.
Axe Living starts construction after the existing building is torn down, and expected to be done by the end of this year.
There was a ground-breaking ceremony at the site yesterday with Axe Living, Mayor Mat Siscoe and MP Chris Bittle.
