The city says this is for Smart Pole installation for wireless services, lasting to the spring
There's going to be some construction along Clifton Hill and Oneida Lane in Niagara Falls starting January 12th, for installation of new Smart Pole technology.
The city says the Niagara Regional Broadband Network is putting underground infrastructure to support 15 new poles, funded by Rogers, and managed by the NRBN and Urban Environmental Management Inc.
During construction, one lane will be temporarily closed in the day, reopening at day's end, pedestrians can still access it, and businesses will stay open.
The work expected to last to the spring.
The city adds a Smart Pole is a modern utility pole for wireless services.
