Brock University is getting some major recognition.
The school was placed in the top 100 in the Sports Science category of the QS University World Rankings.
The rankings only specify that Brock was in the Top 51 to 100 of all schools around the world
The school is being recognized for its Kinesiology and Sport Management departments.
The QS University World Rankings compares 550 institutions from across the world in each category, ranking them on items such as research citations per paper, and academic and employer reputation.
Brock Provost and Vice-President Lynn Wells says this is a huge nod to the school.
"Brock’s success in this year’s rankings is well-deserved recognition for all of the hard work that Dean Peter Tiidus and all faculty, staff and students in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences put every day into growing and developing our sport science programs. The rankings highlight this hard work and will work to attract new attention to the programs, which will in turn help bring more exceptional students and researchers to Brock."
