Team hopes to return home to Toronto this summer
The Jays made a triumphant return last night to Sahlen Field in their first home game in Buffalo of the season beating the Marlins 5-1.
Blue Jays president Mark Shapiro sounding optimistic the team may be able to return home to Toronto at some point this summer.
Shapiro says talks between the Blue Jays and Canadian health officials have become more frequent and ``certainly more positive'' in recent weeks.
But he cautions it all hinges on when Ottawa is willing to loosen border restrictions.
The NHL is currently in talks with the federal government to allow the winner of the NHL's all-Canadian division and a U.S. team cross the border during the third and final rounds of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
