The Toronto Blue Jays have fired manager Charlie Montoyo.
The move comes after the team lost 8 of its last ten games.
The team says bench coach John Schneider will serve as interim manager for the rest of the season.
So far this season, the Jays have a 46-42 record.
They currently hold the third and final wild card spot in the American League.
