2 banks in Niagara Region robbed Tuesday
Police have made an arrest in relation to two bank robberies in Niagara this week.
The TD Canada Trust on Dorchester Road in Niagara Falls was robbed by a man on Tuesday, who showed a knife, then the Meridian Credit Union on Lake Street in St. Catharines was hit by the same person.
The next day Toronto police, working with Niagara, Peel, Hamilton, Halton, and Guelph police, identified 52-year old Alan Haaksma of Oakville and arrested him.
He appeared in Toronto bail court yesterday, he's currently still behind bars.
