Environment Canada is forecasting air pollution today and tomorrow due to forest fires
A special air quality statement is in effect for Niagara.
Environment Canada says high levels of air pollution can be expected today, due to the smoke from forest fires as far away as Quebec.
The poor air quality could last into tomorrow.
Pregnant women, seniors, kids, people who work outside and people with underlying health issues have a higher chance of experiencing complications due to the smoke.
It can also cause reduced visibility
The weather office also recommends reducing sources of indoor air pollution, such as smoking, frying foods and vacuuming.
