Join the National Turfgrass Research Foundation on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Credit Valley Golf & Country Club in Mississauga for the NTRF Annual Golf Classic — a fundraising event supporting turfgrass research across Canada.

This event brings together supporters of Canada’s golf courses, sports fields, parks, and community green spaces to help advance research that improves the sustainability, quality, and safety of the outdoor spaces we all enjoy.

The day begins with registration and breakfast at 9:00 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start. Guests will enjoy a full day of golf, networking, on-course experiences, lunch, and prizes, concluding with a reception and cocktails.

Open to both participants and supporters, the event offers meaningful sponsorship opportunities for businesses and organizations interested in connecting with the turfgrass community and supporting research that benefits communities across Canada. Those unable to attend can still participate through sponsorships and raffle ticket purchases, with winners announced at the event.

As a registered charity, the National Turfgrass Research Foundation supports research that benefits golf courses, sports fields, parks, school grounds, and community green spaces across Canada. Turfgrass research plays an important role in improving environmental sustainability, water conservation, turf quality, and athlete safety, helping create healthier and more resilient outdoor spaces for future generations.

This annual fundraising event brings together professionals, businesses, and supporters from the golf, sports turf, landscaping, parks, and recreation sectors for a memorable day of golf, networking, food, friendly competition, and celebration — all while raising funds to advance important turfgrass research initiatives.

Guests will enjoy a full event experience featuring a welcome reception, tournament play, on-course activities, banquet, awards, raffles, and opportunities to connect with industry leaders and community supporters who share a passion for maintaining and improving Canada’s outdoor spaces.

The Golf Classic also offers valuable sponsorship opportunities for businesses looking to support research, increase community visibility, and connect with professionals across the turfgrass, golf, sports field, landscaping, and municipal sectors. Sponsors receive recognition throughout the event and help make continued research and innovation possible.

Proceeds from the event directly support turfgrass research initiatives that strengthen the quality, sustainability, safety, and long-term health of Canada’s green spaces.
